I'm going to get a second Land Raider for my IW but I want it to be something special so I came with this little idea
M2b Land Raider ( forgeworld )
IW land raider doors and the Chaos LR tracks,
These I have already sorted but can you guys give me any additional advice in making this beauty stand out from a normal Land Raider
I'd not use doors at all.
Instead of them try working on the visible part of the interior. Make mechanical arms crawl out the doors, pipes, other machinery...
For an IW I'd redesign the weapon mounts. (Bigger lascannons, more mechanical bits, cogwheels, etc)

Please do not get annoyed on my spelling: i am not a native speaker...
the Iw doors have already been included in the design as well as the special chaos landraider tracks
I've already ordered the Helios for my loyalist space marines
but for what purpose would the helios serve
Sounds good but the concept of it is to represent a older version of it
im liking the idea of having mechanical arms and stufff busting out if the hull, make it look like doc oc is trying to bust his way out

I'd think that dumbing down the mechanisms, such as making the Lascannon mounts appear gear driven would work nicely but also really change the interior, add extra pipes, cabling, maybe a servo-arm or two inside the thing doing something.
I'd also suggest giving one of the crew a whole swarm of Mechadendrites (the little clawed tentacle things) coming out of his backpack and up out of the hatch.
