GW Online : Warhammer 40,000 : Necrons : Painting The C'Tan Hope this article helps ya!

Also, just using a flat coat of metallics followed by the washes range should produce a nice shading effect. You'll just have to gloss it up again though! hehe

To be a little different from the Codex, I've painted mine flat green and then drybrushed gold leaving the green visible in the recesses. Mind you this is the old way of doing it, before the washes were introduced.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

The look on the box really isn't all that hard. The C'tan were actualy pretty easy to paint because of how textured they are, just do a white base, then start drybrushing the gold on.

Although, I went with a blood red background with a white gauzy/ghostly look around it, trimmed in a gold.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...

Hmm that would pose a problem. I will suggest mixing up various metallics and see what colours you can come up with. Models like this do deserve that little bit extra I think when it comes to painting, to make them stand out more.

Anyhow, good luck with it and make sure to post up some pictures when ya done! lol
