After makeing my army list i'm now haveing to start collecting the models. The problem is that I personnaly think Wild rider models aren't thet great and they are freaking expensive and even more now they bumped up the metal prices models in the GW's here in the Netherlands. so I was thinking about making use of dryads and elvensteeds and making something allong the lines of this:
although I won't be using the same bases I'm going to try and get the horses to be modeled as if they are trees or come out of trees like this one is. The problem is that I can get moust parts for this but I can't sems to find the speers anyone have a site or knows where I can get my hands on some of those? I will also need a banner and a music instrument.
any suggestions or help is greattly apriciated.
That looks really great and also a great idea for an all forest spirit army...
good luck with your project
That looks incredible!!.... me i copied another conversion on this site where you use the body of an elven steed and the uper body of a dryad to make a centaur. As for the spears I got them from the glade rider and glade gaurd sprues, some are just being held and some are modeled into the dryad arm that already looks all long and pointy so it kinda appears that those ones are forming thier own spear.
That's a great Idea!!
thanks and repped awarded!
Good idea man, it's gonna be very flavorful then, nice. and you should make it in autumn colors. It'll look really cool.

Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

A couple of good bits dealers I've dealt with on ebay are:
Hoard O Bits (http://stores.ebay.com/Hoard-O-Bits)
Blackdagger Games (http://stores.ebay.com/Blackdagger-Games)
I've always gotten good service and reasonable shipping rates from both of them and they both usually have a good sellection of plastic bits.
