I've just started a new tyranid army and while looking through the games-workshop site came across a colour scheme I quite liked. Thing is, to be completely honest, I don't actually know how to paint it, as stupid as that may sound.
For reference, here's the picture they have, its from the staff painting competition so there's just this one picture.
I'm a relatively mediocre painter, though it looks fairly simple, so if anyone could help me out at all, general suggestion on how to get that look on each part, etc. I would really appreciate it.
That seems pretty simple. Black, Red, and Bleached Bone. However, all Tyranids differ, so a good guide for you to follow would be:
Weapon highlights: Bleached Bone
Skin: Mix of Red and Black.
Tongue: Bleached Bone
Guns: Red&Black outside, any different textured part shuld be bleached bone.
Hope this helps.

"Kill-kill! Death to the Enemies of the Horned Rat!" Warlord Bweekq at the Battle of Hrad
While the suggested method might get you something close, there are definitely a few extra colours in there that mr. Hydra has missed out.
What I would suggest (and this works especially well on Nids) is working with a combination of drybrushing and washing.
Start by priming your entire model black.
Grab a medium/dark blue (GW Regal Blue would work well), and drybrush it across all of the dark, carapace areas (ie: the top of the head, the back etc etc), as well as any claws.
Grab Mechrite Red and carefully paint a thin layer over the entire 'flesh' area, then even more carefully drybrush the flesh lightly with Blood Red.
Wash the entire flesh area with a mix of Badab Black wash and Devlan Mud wash. This should make it look very dark, almost black.
Finally, pick out the 'details' like teeth etc in Dheneb Stone.
This should end up something like the pic you posted.

i might be mistaken, but isn't there a drybrush of hawk turquise on the carapace's edges too?
Thanks for the advice all, I'll give what you suggested a go minus_t, and assuming it doesn't come out embarrassingly bad, I might stick up a picture asking for criticism.
Looks like shadow grey to me :-P
