I know you can drill them out with pin vice, but I'm looking for more realistic bulletholes, you know, small perfectly circled craters like in the rulebook illustrations. How can I make bulletholes like that?

i've seen some people paint it so it looks as though there is a bullet hole. Or you could just use a round tipped pin vise.

I have a technique that works great! Use and X-Acto knife, and basically just drill a hole in whatever!

yeah, using a knife or pin and punching small marks or holes in armor can do the trick. just leave black in the recesses, and make grey marks around the hole.

If you're really devoted you can sculpt armour plate peeling back from the impact mark.

Black Gobbo #16 has some interesting stuff on environmental damage to armor. Check it out HERE.

the technique i use is this! i drill a hole all the way through the armour then i get a slighty bigger drill and drill partly through the same hole to create a crater effect which is similar to counter sinking which i find looks quite well ive used it on my 13th company and the finished result looks quite good!

Sounds quite good. I'll do that if the black gobbo solution is too difficult!

You could shout them with mini bullets. Like make a bee-bee smaller and then shoot the model. Might work
