My first commission came through recently, some BFSP Dwarves, from someone who'd bought some minis on ebay.
Now I've taken the photographs, I think I'll touch up the Grudge Pony before sending him off. Apart from that, I think I've got them about right in terms of quality worth 'paying for', and speed. I got them done over this weekend, and a couple of evenings.
Heresy I know, but thickly applied paint was my friend, as were washes.
Even though a bit of a weird case, C&C is welcome, especially if it involves tips on speeding up the process..
Nice, vibre and solid colors... very nicely faces done...
A job well done altogether!
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
Looks solid, your costumer got what he paid for!
Really nice models! Lovely colour, and really well painted! I would be more than happy if you had done them for me!
[thanks to mod for cleaning up my posts]
Thank you. I didn't realise I could produce them so quickly, until they're for someone else.
When they're just for yourself, they seem to take forever.
Thanks for the kind words. Re the eyes, They were the first thing I did on the faces; big messy white bits either side of a black pupil, then painting the rest of the face around them - nudging the flesh paint up to the edges until they looked right.
good work, very good work ^^ your customer might be getting a little more than he paid for
Thats what...$5 US standard...not bad at all, he did get more that he paid for in my opinion, those models are atleast worth 3.50 lol
j/k, still absolutely brilliant
5$ a model?!
I would charge atleast 20euros an hour if it was me doing the painting.
