Normally, I'm not not that bothered with Space Marine bikes, but the idea of a whole army of them with just a captain on a bike was too tempting to pass up. So, he's first go and doing a captain on a bike, armed with a Relic Blade: Brother Captain Lucan, Captain of the 8th company of the Knights of the Silver Swords
very nice sir, very nice ^^
love it all i can say is...
-REP- (unfortunately im not allowed to rep you again...)
Nice model! I like the flowing cape, I think that works well! Only thing I noticed was that the head looks a little strange, like its too small, or too far forward, I'm not sure which! Other than that, really nice!
How dare you speak out against LO! I shall beat you with a giant inflatable duck and then ban you to the lowest level of hell! ~Karmoon
My recruitment link!
I think he looks quite good. I think his pose is very noble, it says defender of humanity, slayer of the foul Heretic/Daemon/Alien. I like his head, where did you get it? Is that a Space marine head? You could try to use a pin drill thing to drill some small holes in the ends of the bolters to show where the bolts come out.
i think the head is a bretonian head from knights errant...
ut yea love the whole thing...
Nice looking conversion, however for me it is a bit let down by the roughness of the joint on the front wheelguard as seen in this photo. Get that smoothed off and it will be spot on!
Nice use of the Warhammer bits too! I might be tempted to add a pistol holster, grenades, or some purity seals or other decorations to his leg armour though, as it looks a little bare.
I'm planning on doing a Captain on bike myself, to represent Captain Epathus of the Ultramarines 6th Company (as the 6th Company of a Codex chapter are traditionally the reserve company trained and able to be fielded as mass bike squads), then paint him up a Command Squad and Chaplain and a couple of Bike Squads, to give me a bike force to use when the situation requires - so I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
I may also try using him as a counts-as Kor'sarro Khan, which you could do as well - his rules are very handy for bike armies.
Wow, so much interest!
List of parts:
Head - Bretonnian knight Errant
Sword - Company champion
Crest - Old Bretonnian helm
Shields - Old Bretonnian shields
Cloak - High elf Prince on Dragon
I'm probably going to be using a lot of Bretonnian stuff in my chapter (I.e: the company champion of the 8th will probably have a power lance)
Thanks for the comments. More purity seals and tidying are on their way!
