ok so.. My winter project will be to build and Paint 2,000 points of BOC.. I have 8 Boxes of Beastherd on my Desk right now and I have 6 Boxes of the new Plastic Warhounds coming Nov-1st..
Im hoping to refrain from using any Metal figs (I just dont like most of them).. So ill have ALOT of scratch building/converting to do...
Heres the start.
Khazrak the One-eye
((thats blue-tack on his whip hand.... its holding the whip in place for now so I can remove it later for paint ))
Morghur, Master of Skulls
Questions, comments and(or) Criticisms are Always welcome and often needed..
so tell me what you think..
I think you've done very impressively! It's a good idea refraining from the metal minis, what with price rises, and the fact that yours look pretty unique!
Not much else to say really, other than they're awesome
Can't wait to see more!
They are very good looking. Rep to thee. You have used lots of parts here to get a good effect on both of them. I think my favourite is Morghur. He looks like he will be fun to paint and he all mutanty looking with the ground going mad. I do have a question. On Morghur's base there is a skeleton at the back in some twigs or something, where does the skeleton come from?
Thank you Both for your comments.
Hey Leech! the bit is from the Woodelf Dryad Sprue.
They look awesome!
Im staying subscribed to this thread, maybe move it to the projects page?
Cant wait to see your future conversions too!
Those look awesome, I love your sculpting!
I think, based on the example, that you could work some wonders scratch building these guys. I look forward to seeing where you go with that. Keep up the good work!
Your sculpting skills are excellent and you've made a couple of good alternative models that'll make yours stand out from everyone elses. And what awesome models they are. Morghur looks amazing, very nicely done and also a good use of what would otherwise be nothing but spare parts lying around doing nothing. Rep for you.
Morghur looks really good. Unfortunately, your chain mail armor leaves something to be desired, and I think it really lets the Khazrak model down. What I might do instead of chain on your next armored model is scale mail instead. It will look less like you poked random holes in green stuff. Good use of the bits, and good poses, I will have to keep an eye on this thread.
nice sculpts looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
