Do the usual things, (simple green, brake fluid, pine sol, etc) work? I found a moron at my hobby club who wants to sell me a scythed heirodule for real cheap, but it looks like he painted it blindfolded using his feet.
Simple green will work.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
I found brake fluid to work pretty good
wolfraider, what do you think of the forgeworld winged hive tyrant kit? I mean, besides the fact that the armament is kind of retarded (nothing a monstrous creature sprue w/ scything talons can't fix)
I have not assembled the kit myself, however I did examine one very closely that a friend got by advanced access. The detail was very good, but the pieces were badly warped. It was an easy fix with some very hot water and bending, but was still a pain. No problems with bubbles though. Plenty of flash, but I've come to expect it from Forgeworld. I'd suggest a razor saw if you plan to do much work with resin kits. After sanding the joints for a close fit they glued very firm with a two part epoxy. I think for the money they should have included a few more options for weapons. All in all a very cool, if expensive, model. Made me want to make a bug army.
I just figure that if I can get the rest of my bug army really cheap, it might not be a bad idea to spring for a centerpiece like that...
I already got my 2000 point bug army for 200 even, but I might want to sell it and build a different one w/ a better color scheme.
Hmmz. Is it worth getting one of them Squiggoths from Orks? I'm thinking of getting one for my WHFB army (taking away all futurestuff, ofcourse).
I'm talking about the smaller, not the 200 pounds one o.O
Thought i should take the chance now when they have that free shipping for one month.
Those models are coo and if you have the money id say go for it. I think it would look better as a fantasy piece, IMO. Cool piece to have as a center piece.
Yeah, I'm planning to make alot of scenery commited to my Gobbos. This Squiggoth will be my RAMMABEASTIE! Ridden by the king of the tribe, because he has a tiny penis.
Will need some help painting the skin on it lateron though..
EDIT: NOT the penisskin. The Squiggoth-skin.
