Welcome to Librarium Online!
I wanted a transport that actually physically fits the amount of people it says it can inside it. So I got working on my Higgins boat inspired Chimera tank. It looks a bit whacky but hey that's how the Adeptus Mechanicus like their vehicles. Comments pleasee?
Side on, you can see how the back looks a little weirdo, so I might fix that up.
Paddle-pop stick floor boards
Ten Tech Guardsmen inside it
That's right, all 10 of them fit.
Doors open and time to load out.
What a legendary tank
Looks good, a really nice conversion...
...but a Chimera can carry 12

I like the idea, although I would probably have lowered the rearend/turret mount thing and maybe sacrificed a little carrying capacity to push it a bit back into the tank, but thats personal taste
Rules wise, you may have a problem, since a chimera isnt opentopped and the only access point it has, is in the rear instead of the front, ohh yeah, and you seem to be missing a heavy bolter.
You could always just use the "counts as" rules and use it as a straight up chimera, but maybe your opponent wouldnt mind you moving the access point in exchange for counting it as oppentopped?
As for the heavy bolter (or heavy flamer if you want) you could mount a couple of bolters on each side (or a single flamer on each side) sponson style, I think it would look awesome, but again, rules wise its a bit off.

If you're really worried about open-toppedness and WYSIWYG you could put an armoured rooftop over the whole thing, and have it open (sort of like a rhino top hatch) when you need them to bail out.
.. And I'm sorry the transport capacity mentioned by mpdscott made me laugh a little :'D

As for the rules dilema i figured to stop it being open topped, it has an invisible refractor field surrounding the top part protecting the men inside. And for the back acess to the front one, well on the turn that the men bail out it would count as back armour, as to represent i spun the tank around and moved everyone out the back. Ya dig?
Also search for other threads by cortex, good stuff.
