You should think of what Chapter the Rhino was looted from and then think what color is your Ork clan... then paint the base as the SM Chapter and some parts of your Ork Clan...
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
In terms of painting I would go with what Tsele said, and go with a base of a SM chapter, and then Ork stuff on top.
I think before you start painting though, you should try and make it look more Ork like. The ork sticking out of the top looks cool, but other than that it looks like a normal Rhino. Do you have any extra parts to make it a bit more Ork-y?
Let us know how you get on with the painting anyway!
thanks for the idea guys ill try it and ill make it liik more orky
ill post pics when i get some sm chapter paint
Get yourself some plasticard and a razor, cut out some jagged looking teeth! Cut out some beady looking eyebrows and put them above the little front hatches. Also put some spiky bits on top. You can also throw some gretchin models on top for a cool effect.
where do u get plasticard
Depends on where you live. Look for a hobby-town or perhaps a train shop. Both will probably have it, also possible to order the stuff online.
and dude drill out the gun barrels plz.
You don't NEED plasticard. For a small job like this, pieces of flat cardboard will do, too. Some small flat discs to make rivets will help make it look like the cardboard is a metal plate that was riveted in place to cover a hole or something. To make them, you can do everything from using a leather hole punch to punch out little discs out of plasticard to slicing off plastirod into small discs to even gently dabbing on tiny "dots" of PVA glue. When painted up, they could all be made to look like rivets.
I agree that painting it like an SM chapter first, then dirtying it up with Ork graffiti ("Keel da umies!") and stuff is fun. If you want to be particularly mean, paint the Rhino up to match your favorite opponent's SM chapter, so it will look like your Orks stole it from him!
You also can't go wrong with red paint. Red wunz go fasta!
