Hey and welcome to LO. Your Crimson fists look like they are off to a good start. I like the work you have done on the Veterans. The paint work on them is well done and clearly defined. The colours on the armour are also done well and clearly visible. I think the only area that really needs some work is the eyes. They look a little too blotchy and the red just seems to sit in their eye sockets. Try to shade that red more. You can also try to add a little more highlighting to the eyes to bring them out.I think the work on the rest of your models is good. The various icons on the vehicles are a good thing to have there. Paint more and post it up.
thanks leech. I have been thinking about that. I thought about trying to transition them in sockets from a dark to light. I have never been able to get the eyes right. i will try a few things and let you guys critique.
Love these guys, they look suitably dark and battle-worn. The eyes - how about a wash of black ink to define the eye sockets better, then piant them as if they are gems (darke up to the middlem, with a final "glaze" highlight in almost pure white?)

Your Crimson Fists look great, especially the blue. Your marines have a bold look to them that is quite striking. If you're having trouble with the eyes take a look at this article:

Can't wait to see those Dreads!
very well painted, but I think that this would do a bit better in the projects forum. If you'd like, you can have a mod move it over there.
the conversions on the dreads and rhino look very good. The pictures, however have a rather bad yellow tint to them. This can be caused by useing incandescant light, or the camera's white balance. I suggest you take photos under natural sunlight, or using bulbs that "simulate" sunlight.
How dare you speak out against LO! I shall beat you with a giant inflatable duck and then ban you to the lowest level of hell! ~Karmoon

Very nice painting there look forward to more.

I also enjoy good music, fine food, late night strolls on the beach and dancing in moonkin form :)
Looking good, i like the shading on the blue!
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Oh well done! Good on you. I have a few ideas on the bases, but I'm sure you already know where you're going with them.
