Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok I havent been able to do much latly because of life sucking so bad so I dont have that many convertions. the first will be Arhiman he is made out of CSM torso, legs and head then just green stuff.
He was painted this way because my army is Black White with splash gold and red and also Arhiman is old and who would wont to dress in blue forever??
Then I do got to mod my Defiler
Nice paintjobs and conversions mate; you should be very pleased with them indeed.
Ahriman seem good to me all over. The cpae could do with some shading as it seems a little flat, but otherwise good job matey!
Cracking Defiler conversion - Looks much more like a crazed insect with a huge bloated abdomen. I think he could do with a few more colors on the central gizmos at the bases of the legs - just to break up the large black areas.
Great jobs all round!
Did you mean to post this thread in the painting forums though? You will probably get far more helpful answers there regarding your paint scheme.
No, Im pretty much set on the color scheme I was just posting it up to see if I did a good job at converting or not.
And so far it looks like ive done well, Thanks for the compliments.
Those two models are cool. I like how you have made them and converted them. The extra horns on Ahriman work well on him and I can instantly tell who he is. I think the Defiler is good too. The new position and way you have put it togeter are good looking. I like how it is now some sort of tank/daemon thing.
They look quite cool, I especially like the mechandrites on the Defiler...
If you decide you want this shifted to painting, just chuck me a PM and I'll get on it...

I love your Ahriman conversion, especially considering it's only made from basic CSM parts, good job! ( ^^)b
Indeed, who WOULD want to dress in blue forever xD
Iron Swords 3rd Company - We are the swords which reap the bodies of our foes.
Train of thought will be terminating at.. edible murder weapons!
For some reason the Defiler reminds me of a trapdoor spider, possibly due to the lower bulky rear end with the claws out the front. The only thing I can see being a problem is how it can actually move, since it seems somewhat off-balance. The Ahriman conversion is rather well done though I must say, especially since it's created out of GS and basic chaos marine parts. The GS'ed lower robe actually reminds me somewhat of flayed skin, which is fitting for chaos. The only criticism is it seems a little flat compared to the rest of the mini, but I know sure well that painting decent highlights on such areas of GS is a pain to do so I can see why. I like the black and white scheme though, I never thought it would look good on chaos minis but these prove it can work well.
One question: What exactly is the rear pod area of the defiler made out of? I can see the round parts appear to be bottle caps of some sort but the main cube I'm not too sure about.
Overall though, I like the resourcefullness of the conversions and the original idea for the defiler, the painting overall is good and the scheme is effective, but theres just a couple of things here and there which could be improved on.
To be honest I am no the one who painted it. if I painted it, it would have come out really really bad. I just do the conversions on everything. I love to scrap build and work with green stuff. So thats what I do then give it to my friend that loves to paint and thats what he does. I will make sure and tell him all the stuff that has been said to help him out.
Ok now for the defiler the back end is... wait for it... my dice box. and actually if you break it open the price tag and the chess-x paper is still in it.
everyone can tell that the round is from water caps, but people dnt no that the cannon is made out of a sharpy marker. and the front claws are made from bass string and sques that keep the bases togeather. then the rest is just bits I found in all the stuff I had.
so now you know...
Im working on a new project I think tonight or tomorrow its going to be a sorcerer lord on a disc. dont no what Im going to give him yet but thats just what its going to be.
also my friend should have my nurgle bike squad done either tonight or by thurs so ill have pics up of those coming soon.
