I think it could do with just a shade more Orkifying. I would suggest using small sections of plasticard to create that "bolted-on" look that all good Ork armour has. That should break up the more regular shape of the Rihno, which is still a tad too distinctive, in my opinion. However, you might think that less is more - which is also cool, in which case go for it!
Nice model, either way.
Thats a great start to a looted vehicle mate, I especially like the detail to the underside of the tank.
- Model some gretchin on the superstructure somewhere
- Orky glyphs
- A wild array of levers and gear on some seemingly random contraption somewhere on the vehicle
- Trophy racks
- Multiple patched up holes in the armour
Be sure to have a look around LO, there are several other threads with extensively orkified vehicles - you might grab some ideas.
Can't wait to see the finished model!
As a fellow Ork player.. I would say you need to make it more Orky. Don't get me wrong, I like where you're going with it... you just need more
So.... what I would do #1 is start with some Ork Glyph bits.. you can find them in various things... trukk boxes, bike boxes, etc... if you don't have any, I'm sure some of the guys around here have some great bit purchasing websites (or there might be banners on LO here you can click on too). Second, I would see if you can get a lighter (be careful doing this) and try to melt part of the tank to look like damage, then use plasticard to kind of "patch it up." My buddy burnt a hole in the side of his rhino and it looks amazing (again.. i cant stress enough to be careful, you can hurt yourself, melt the model, or start a big fire).
Eldar Project Log
Saim-Hann Eldar: 5000 Points
I went with the space marine drivers head on the front, patched up holes, a mek operating my boomgun and a ork kustom roof.
stolen steel plates to reinforce the open areas.. a modified gun platform for a door gunner.. Gobbos hanging from the side with smoke canisters and other vile gobbo devices. Big Tanks of exposed fuel hanging from the back..
All these are great additions that will make a looted vehicle look real orky.
I would add a big shoota gunner and an ork driver. some more ork bitz. maybe a reinforced ram plate. nice start though.
I am an Indestructible master of War.
I think it would be perfect if you just added some more spikes all around it. There can never be too many spikes.
If you have to ask that question, then it aint orky enuff!
