It's basically kinda a shooting tower, not sure if I'll ever use it, more to just try my hand at making scenery and had to start somewhere. As I should have said before, it's for WHFB
About 90% done, just gonna add some greenery and maybe close off the corrugated part on the top. Still working on getting my painting down, which has never been great anyway.
Pretty much finished now, didn't have any filler, so just upped the toothpick usage, added a couple bit's to the base and added a little detail painting. Pretty happy over all:
A couple of Dark Elf spearmen peaking over the top, those are the only two models i have so far, thus they are not shooters, but it's mainly for sizing.

Great start man, I think it looks more fantasy than 40k, if thats what you are going for, its always cool to have a few severed heads on pikes and weapons laying around too. other than that its looking good!
Also try wrapping some soldering wire around a couple of the sticks in the middle somewhere to hold it all together.*for appearences at least*
Yeah, thats a great start to scenery making. I like the way you've gone for a fairly tall structure - my first go was a few pile rocks, not nearly as adventurous as yours.
As you have said, the next step is to fill in the corrugations on the cardboard. You can use green stuff, putty or filler to do this - its fair quick to do and adds a lot to the final piece.
I look forward to seeing more of your scenery mate; next project should go with a thicker base with some more bits and pieces on it. Great job!
