as the title insists... im converting a dread into a boneclad dread.... ironclad dreadnaught in a Lotd army...so obviously...boneclad... and my shooty dread... is the "hellfire dread" ive been trying to convert an assult cannon arm into a drill hand ...like the siege dread... to count as my siesmic hammer. there are skeles draped around lots of the dread... one over the center of the upper body and a ribcage and arms on each leg. gotta take pix of it tho.
Sounds very cool looking forward to having pictures of it.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
Looking forward seeing it as well.
Yeah... you tempted me from what I read... pics please?
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
sounds very cool, i plainted one dread bonecolored too, keep us posted!
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
not bone colored....black with bones strung over it... all legion of the damned like.. with some flames....not much
It....needs....more.....bones? Also the marine heads as club spinny maul thing of doom, are you planning on making them look less like heads and more say, club like? Maybe integrate them a bit more into the poles and turn them into giant skulls as opposed to, well marine helmets, and of course give them a more stony/metalic paint job to the rest of it. The flat armour panels will either need some good flame freehand or a few more bones stuck on, i like the shn pads, although i've never liked the hips on a dread, maybe more bone panels?
Nice concept, look forward to the finished product.
the boneclad dread is a concept still... the spacemarine skulls are part of the lore of the Lotd. they adorn their armor with the flames of purgatory and bones/armor of their fallen brethren. if u have doubts of my flame work.. heres my "hellfire dreadnaught"my vehicles.. when i have 2 of the same... i do one mostly bone...one mostly
Even if you're not looting them for parts, take a look at the Cryx Warjacks from Warmachine for inspiration. It is a steampunk game but there's lots of metal and bone there.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
