I have just started collecting dark angels and i have a box of grey knight termies lieing around, so instead of buying deathwing ones, i'm thinking of converting them. I'm really bad at converting so I ws only going to make one change, which was to cut off the hand holding the nemesis force weapon and replacing it with a standard teminator power fist. But then I remembered that grey knight termies have their nemesis weapon in there right hand, while plastic ones have their power fists on their left hands. So, getting to the point, where could i get right handed power fists? Or should i leave the nemesis weapon there?
Firstly, in my opinion, 2 termies with assault cannons and powerfists and the rest with lightning claws is the only way to equip deathwing. It rocks!
Secondly you could off course use the nemesis force halberds as powerfists, as long as you explain it to your opponent. But I would replace them with powerfists just to make them look more different from grey knights. Your best shot is ordering the powerfist on mail order. Either from Gamesworkshop.com or from your store(free shipping!.

Either you could replace the left arm with a powerfist and put a stormbolter in the right, (you can get stormbolters and fists from mailorder) or you could relace the right arm (not the shoulderpad) with Marneus Calgars right arm. You would have to dremel off the bolter on the fist though so that would be a bit more involved but if you have the tools I suggest you go with that, it would be a little more creative.
if you take calgar's arm you gotta deal with the ultramarine symbol on the shoulder pad.

No... you trim the arm off of Calgar's shoulder pad... and attach it under the shoulder pad of the termie.
I had this long signature made up, but I didnt like it...
Calgars right arm has an eagle shoulderpad. The ultrasymbol is on the left and isn't a separate bit.
I recommended his arm not because it's the most practical choice, but because it's the ONLY right-handed powerfist in the entire range! (that I know of, please correct me if you've found another)
I personally think that you should wait for the new termies, then use those. They are no less good-looking than GKs.

Myself, I never liked the look of the SM powerfists. I'd imagine a "real" version would be more of a hammer-sans-handle, just a weight on the end of the arm. Like, if you took the standard SM storm shields, and planted then square on the end of the GKT's right arms... You could chop off the NFW by just clipping the handle just above and just below the hand, and make it look like the hand is holding a handle of the "power fist". Sorta like big-arse brass knuckles, right?
Also, you'd have to worry about the left shoulderpad of the GKT. It's got the sword & book GK symbol on it, and if you file it down, it won't be textured like the rest of the shoulder pad (or the right shoulder either). It would probably be easier to take the left and right arms of Deathwing termies (or any termies, really) and use them, weapons and all. That way you'd have the awesomely detailed GKT bodies, but proper looking weapons and shoulders.
If you're good with greenstuff, I guess you could file the book & sword off and model the iron cross over the non-textured spot left behind...
I have got found an idea from fortressofunforgiven.com. A guy on there got the plastic powerfist, cut the thumb off, filed down what was left and glued the thumb on the other side of the powerfist to make it right handed. I am going to have a go at making robes out of greenstuff (i havent even used greenstuff before) by getting a strip and pressing it on the emperors champ model on the robes. Then im going to turn it round and put it on the termies. Ill give them hoods too. Im not sure about the book and sword symbol, i want to keep the shoulder pad on because im rubbish at swapping arms (im only twelve) so i might make a piece of cloth draping over it.
