** UPDATED PICS ON PG.2**
If you're new to my "i'm a new painter" threads, then welcome. If not, here is a trial run at some nurgle plague marines. I have purchased some new colours and washes and wanted to see what kind of rotting combinations I could come up with (with more "nurgle-y" styles) Here is what came out:
1 x Plague Marine (gun + weapon + pack not completed)
Don't kno how the heck to paint his head...
Let me know what you guys think..

I really, really like it. Some daemon-like eyes and rusted metallics would finish the job off nicely.
Hey, thanks for the replies... where do you mean to put the metallics? on the trim areas? And what colour eyes are you thinking of?

How've you done that? What colours?
Drybrushing mainly I take it?
I can't say I've seen it all but I live for the things that keep me hollow.
there really isn't a method to this madness.. I lost track of the sequence of colours. BUT, these are the colours I've used:
1. Prime Black
2. Base Graveyard Earth
3. heavy gretchin green highlight
after this, it's just a mess... there is a highlight of "Rotting Flesh", a few washes of "Gryphonn Sepia", also tried some "Ogryn Flesh" in some areas, then a final highlight of "White". Heavy dry brushing technique, as I find that solid colours on THESE models looks kindof silly. I still would like to try and add some metallics to the trim and some eyes like the other folks have suggested. I Will post pictures of the new model in the next day.
Hope this helps with your plague marines!
Id suggest adding a silver to the mix on the trim areas, you can make this messy with a few washes of black, brown, yellow and green, mixed as you see fit.
The eyes should be red or perhaps a pale yellow.
The general armour plates look really nice.
Hey Dan, thanks! I am going to give your trim idea a try. See what I can come up with. Need to buy some yellows, as I don't have any!!
Dan pointed out exactly what I meant. Try not to over-do the silver bits though; Nurgle should never look too shiny! :p
i love it papa nurgle would be overjoyed, for metalics though i would like a bronze or gold more rusty and gross of course =D
again sweeetness on the armor
