I`m thinking of converting my Space Marines to Chaos versions, and I want at least one unit of Thousand Sons. I can probably get away with either not having aprons or making cloth versions, but I`m looking for suggestions for the helmets, as they are one of the most distinctive features. Any ideas?
tbh best way to get them is to just go out and buy a box of them gives you lot's of spare choasbitz and great models to boot!! they are so detailed you will have a pretty ahrd time getting something made that looks anything like it. Or contact swntzu he has some spare 1K sons bit laying around he might sell for cheap
Cheers Jayz ( proud owner of a bow of 1K sons)
You might still be able to buy the heads and tabards from GW all by themselves. If there's a store close to you, go through the catalogue and see if they still sell them.
If you're converting them from loyalists, maybe you should consider the pre-Heresy colors.. I'd love to see someone with a bunch of red Dust Marines.

Hm, can't do the store idea cause I'm in Canada, no officially GW store just hobby shops. As for buying a box with extras, could I convert a full unit (9 marines) with extras? So I'd end up with two units of Thousands by buying a single box?
