These are the 40K scenery pieces I've used so far. As you can probably tell I prefer making rather than painting my models, and while I don't claim to be a good modeler I'm afraid my painting is a bit simple and scrappy (not to mention done with artist acrylic 'cos I could not afford enough GW paint when i did most of them). I think I'm getting better though, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
1st home made ruin. The floor looks a bit sparse, like it got bombed, then someone came round and swept up.
My second attempt. I think puting floor tiles down made it look a litle more realistic. Probably should have used more variety of paint. May re do it one day.
My ruined temple. I prefer the floor on this one, and the two colours makes it better, but I'm not happy with the paining of the temple itself.
My bunker. This took me a while because its made entirely from plasticard. I was able to get GW paint to do this one which helped.

I'll post up the "scatter terrain" bits too.
The first thing I made (since I was a kid anyway, before I stopped and restarted after getting dawn of war), My webway gate (like in DOW)
Statue objective. Way too shiny and streaky in artist paint.
Objective markers (painting metalic is hard )
Lastly I post my trees. I know I didn't make them, but my girlfriend painted them for me, and I think getting your other half to help with your warhammer is an achievement in its own right
I'll try and take photos of anything else I make as I go along so I can garner advice and offer any assistance to other newbies.
They look pretty good from the pictures but these should be in the scenery forum.
When you're working with foam core you may want to clean it up a bit (the webway gate has bits of extra material comming off it)

Eh, we all make mistakes. Do you have any WiP pictures of the bunker you made? It looks pretty good and I'm curious as to how you built it up.
They look very good. However, this should probably be posted in the scenery section.
Keep it up, i really like them!
The Great Plague meets The Devourer of The Galaxy. What does that make us?
Congrats on the GF helping you. My wife has painted a SoB vehicle so I know how that feels. Good Job on all!
