Has anyone ever used a different colour for ork skin? i know there's a link on the games workshop website in australia for brown orks but am curious to see any other colours on orks.
Was that the boogey man?
depends on the army. But you can paint your orks any colour you want. (some people paint their's blue) the weirdest colour would be purple or black i guess
There is a guy were I play that has red orks and there dressed in desert camo there really cool
If you do things right people wont be sure if you have done anything at all.
I think Black orks may actually be neat if done nicely, kinda like Uruk-hai

This guy painted his orc army based on "Fel Orcs" from Warcraft lore, using bright reds for their skin, lots of chaos bits in his conversions (Wolf Riders on Flesh Hounds, Boar Chariots pulled by Juggernauts, Pump Wagons on Tzeench disks, and a "summoned Bloodthirster" for his Giant). The whole effect is really cool looking.
It's possible, but personally I wouldn't do it. Part of choosing to play an Ork army is liking the colour green, after all. ^^ It wouldn't fit the fluff and da otha greenskinz might turn on yaz!! WAAAGH! Green iz best!
depends if you're color blind or not. Though there are many different styles of painting them green. There's the usual blue-yellow shade highlight type, the red-yellow (my usual style), and yellow-human skintone.

GREEN IZ BEST.....well thats what they tell me atleast, though those red "fel orks" are interesting i would stick to green though you can play with it a bit going for a more blueish green or more yellow, doing them dark skined with a more flesh like look could look good. something like a dark brown skin with green hues, i have no idea kinda making it up as i go
so all in all go green is my vote.
You can always do what Abnett describes in his Brothers of the Snake novel: Orks who have dyed their skin in lurid colors, like pink, orange and white.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

to tell the truth at first i was going to paint my orks grey with black armor and all the metal white. The name i though up for them was the black & white warrgh or the colourless waarrgh
