Can somebody help me out on making a picture into a banner?
The picture in question is this:
I do not want the picture itself but the banner these soldiers are wearing to be the banner.
The person depicted on the banner is Ollanius Pius, a soldier that was the reason the Emperor could slay Horus in the earlier editions.
Any help would be appreciated.
Okay, so now I have no signature. Great.
Mh, de hard way would be to draw that design on the flag in question with pencil, then painting it in!
The somewhat easier thing to do would be to draw that design by hand and scan it in and print it, or draw it using illustrator or photoshop. When you've printed it, glue it on the model, or make a decal out of it using special decal paper.
Btw, i remember reading about that guardsman and the emperor, good find!
Yeah. Best you could do with that is draw it.
If you have art talent, use it.
If you don't, Go abduct someone who does.
There's always a solution.
Since that's such a complicated design the best thing is to draw it.
A stencil would work for a really easy one but a stencil has it's flaws too.
What does the red banner behind it say? I can't read it in it's entirety.
"Amid the weeping.....Accursed daemon.....I know thee filth..."
That's a pretty rad proclamation. Can anyone help?

if you can get someone to clean up the design and make it a proper rectangle on the computer, you could always print out decals of the right size and glue them onto a piece of styrene that's been bent to your specifications.

I think he applies the decals, then paints the edges and washes the entire thing to get some shading / flow to the piece. Also, be sure to use Micro-sol and Micro-set to get rid of all silvering.
I might be able to scan in the "photocopy for personal use" page from the WH40K compendium where that banner is displayed, and you could paint it (if I remember correctly, it is the banner of the army displayed throughout the Imperial Guard intro section of the compenidum...)
