here are two Wave Serpents which I painted for my Saim-Hann army ( (Mayor Quimby's Saim-Hann army WIP)link to WIP Project thread), painted using an alternate color scheme and my custom army symbol.
The one with the green gems is for the Howling Banshees (link to the related thread)...
...while the one with the blue gems is for the Dire Avengers (link to the related thread).
Using rare earth magnets, the flyer base, the turret, the Bright lances, and the Star Engines can be removed.
Overall, I am quite pleased of the results, but unfortunately I had some problems with the protective sealing... I used Citadel Purity Seal followed by brush-on Vallejo Matte Seal, but the models are still a little glossy over the black areas, and this tends to kill the more subtle highlights. You can find more pics here.
Now I just have to paint three Wave Serpents more (for the Wraithguards, Striking Scorpions and Fire Dragons)...
Hope you will like them, as usual tips, feedback and constructive criticism are strongly encouraged!
