Welcome to Librarium Online!
OK i am new to the whole Warhammer thing but i was drawn in by Dan Abnett;s books. I plan on having a IG army lead by Gaunt and with some choices (Maybe Veterans or storm troopers) of tanith soldiers.
I am still working on painting up a few squads but here is my attempt at making some catachan into Tanith with the help of some wood elves capes from a mate.
Please be gentle as i am still learning. Oh they are not fully painted by the way The main effort here was to see if i could mould the capes onto the figures and like the outcome.
not bad not bad, the capes could use a bit more depth maybe, but i'm sure you'll get that down. otherwise i really like the color scheme as well, keep it up
Iske 12th Rangers (IG) (1500 pts) (W/L/D) 25-43-2 Da Dakkad Dizzy Deff Skullz (1500 pts) 1-0-2
Thanks mate, i'm going to get help from a mate on how to do painting. He'll do one and then it will be up to me
Good stuff. The only thing needed now is the blue tattoos.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
I like the muting of the camo capes, you should keep that. Too many people think that camo means green. Good stuff.
"Courage without the presence of fear is like a pistol without bullets. Meaningless." Colonel Igor Massif, 6777th Severite Rifles M40
They are really cool, i like how you've muted the colours, very tanith.
I wonder if the capes should have some little flecks or something, might ruin the look, might not. You'd have to experiment.
I just got a box of empire flagellants for christmas, they have got some neat bearded heads, although they may be slightly small for the catachan bodies.
Cheers mate, they aren't fully painted......
That is just a coat so people could see where i am headed, i totally agree on the flecks though.
awesome sauce... im totally using this idea... its the missing part of my ideas for a tanith scout contingent to my guard... :p nice injenuity.
Very nice. I especially like the cloak on the right (rear view)
