Got some Bayou Gremlins for Christmas from Wyrd Miniatures and decided to doll up some bases. Well, decorating a single base, I decided to go larger and make a smallish diorama based on the base I made for one. Here's a couple pics of that base (unfinished and abandoned):
Here are the beginnings of the Bayou Gremlins Diorama:
That looks really sweet, man!
Did any of the bases or terrain come painted or have you painted everything and added extra stuff?
Anyways, it looks real sweet. Are you plan on making it larger? And I would also like to ask about these Wyrm miniatures. Are they part of a game like Warhammer? or is it just collectable miniatures?
Nice work Skull. Looks very "together" alot of dioramas people try to focus on getting the models to blend in, but lose the color theory with the scenery piece. The small details you added with rocks, plants and the paint are all drawn together with the colors you used. I like it, it doesn't "LOOK" like a diorama..it looks like a section of actual Bayou.
Rome wasn't built in a day, Either should good scenery.
Here's another update. Below is a picture of the final dimensions. It fits nicely on the 1:18 scale car display case. I went ahead and added static grass all around the edges...which now pretty much shows up in every picture until I decide to clean it off. But anyway, it gives you an idea of how big (or rather small) the entire piece is.
This pic shows that I have added another gremlin to the base.
A closer look.
This one shows the colors a bit more clearly, as well as the static grass that's everywhere on the dio now.
One more close up of the walkways.
I'll be updating with more pics soon.
Really nice look you have going! How did you get the wet stream effect?
OMG that is out of control awesome!!!!
The initial basing looked good. I would have to say the diorama is a very stunning piece as every aspect and detail looks so natural, looks like you have a mini terrarium for you minis.
