It's a funny and original model but the only thing that bothers me is the lasgun itself. Wood? I would have kept the original lasgun.
Imperial Guard: 3000 pts
Chaos Daemons: 1000 pts
Personally I think the Lasgun is the centrepiece of the model, it's what makes this conversion truly unique.
The army-green clothes seem misplaced with the "Empire" themed soldier overall, but maybe that's your intention, to make sure it doesn't just look like an Empire rifleman ended up in your box o' imps.
las-musket balls? thats pushing it, this is one dead guardsmen planet, is their fortress made of wood too? do they ask everyday for the emperor to make them real whittle boys?
nevertheless, good conversion.
Unless I'm very much mistaken...the Vostroyan Guardsmen have wooden frames on their lasguns too....so it's a bit of a stupid complaint to make
Mysterious Member of the ANZAC Clan
Making a joke...
On another note; wooden and lasers, is ridiculous--period.
Question for Sealancer, where ya get the head at anyways?
I don't know backdraft....you seem so angry...please don't hate...j/k
I got 'em from empire gunner sprues(WHF, ditto to the chest plates though they came from handgunner sprues. Surprising how well the sets go together, huh? And the lasrifle is actually a laslock, they appear in abnetts GG novels in traitor general and the iron snakes novel.

dats what i thought laslocks i remember em from somewhere
Very nice, its good to see more people doing period themed guard I love the gun, like mpdscott said, Vostroyan use wooden stocked lasguns. Nice
