I was painting my Veterans and was about to start painting my three power swords and realised I don't know how i should do it.
So I went all over the forum and other sites looking for a decent design.
I finally landed on the one that one of our members painted on a Golden Daemon comp winner.
Here's my first attempt at something like this:

dunno, I think its very appropriate to have them all different, remember the individuals in a SM army that wield this kind of weapon are squad leaders and veterans, figures of some importance, their individuality is what drives the war on.
I think they look really good. They certainly suggest a power weapon, although I agree with Zarahemna that they should probably be the same colour. I think the blue works the best!
I kinda like how theyre all different colours. Might look slightly incoherent in an army though, would have to see them with the rest of the force...
The lines on the sides, are they to represent power shimmering up the blades?
I like the fact that they have different colours. They are after all ancient artfacts, not mass produced in Hong Kong.
Currently painting the Waaagh! of Warboss Borboss - Goff and Evil Sunz warband
It looks great. I agree with the others in that you should make them all the blue color.
I really like the variation, as everyone paints their power weapons blue. My fave is the purple as it's quite unique and looks very cool. What colors did you use to paint it?
Signature? What, do I sign my name here or something?
Guard components Space Marine components...all made in Taiwan! Oh and I like the purple one too.
