Looking to make a high elf dragon into a "zombie" dragon for my vampire, but instead of a zombie dragon I wanted to make it a spectral dragon because I am a decent painter but a cruddy converter so any tips on colors and such will help! thanks ahead!
Wait, wouldn't a spectral dragon be harder to convert than a zombie dragon?
Use stuff like Rotting Flesh, and keep a sort of doomy, dull appearance.
theres no conversion to the spectral dragon at all, I was asking how to paint spectral colors
Oh, okay, I see. I would probably basecoat in Rotting Flesh, drybrush some Skull White, then wash with brown.
I would paint the dragon white and then use very watered down blue or green ink glazes until you are satisfied. By keeping the glazes watered down you have better control over the overall effect. It will take several coats but should be worth the effort.
To counter the bland appearance of a spectral figure you can really do an interesting base for interest.
