Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey guys so I just got my Forge world stuff in the mail, Im a little confused on how to clean them the right way. I have been doing some searching but cant find any good answers. So please what is the best way to clean them? some say hand soap and some say floor cleaner. Some say instant clean or overnight... What do I do? Thank you
Well, on the Forgeworld website there is the following.
Working with Resin Models
I too just got some Forgeworld models, doors and terminator shoulder pads mainly, and am wondering what others use. I was just going to wash mine with some dish soap and a really cheap tooth brush I purchased and let them dry over night.
Yea I just placed them in a bowl of warm water with soap. Ill leave them in there over night, then scrub them in the morning and let them dry out all day..
I go with warm water and some dishwashing liquid in the sink. I tend to use my hand rather than a brush and rub rather than scrub.
Oh and you want to make sure the water is not too hot - you don't want the resin to become flexible and/or deform. I wouldn't have thought too much about this except one of the Forgeworld recommendations for straightening parts that are bent is to soak them in hot water for a while then apply pressure. . .
Imperial Guard: 2500pts 10/0/1, Space Marines: 2000pts 22/0/3
CSM: 1750pts 5/0/0, DE: 1850pts 19/0/1, ORKs: 2500pts 11/1/0,
All you need to do is get a toothbrush and put the Forge world stuff into some warm soapy water. No need to leave them overnight. Just get them wet and scrub them well with the toothbrush. Then rinse them off and leave them to dry. The water needs to be fairly warm so it is possible that your parts may begin to bend. You can use this time to corrrect any warped parts you were supplied with. The warpage can be fixed by using a blow dryer on the parts to get them hot and then bend them back into place. You have to instantly immerse the part in ice water so it will set in it's new shape. Leave it in the ice water for a few minutes so that it will be completely cooled down.
I simplegreen and toothbrush mine after sanding it
Though, I've been lucky, and havent gotten one of the notoriusly dirty ones.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
