I've been working on this for a couple of days now, as a replacement for Leman russ tanks in my next guard army, and its pretty much finished apart from painting, I've tried to keep it looking pretty realistic, without cluttering it up with bags and sacks, and I'll probably add some battle damage to it tonight, BUT every time I look at it it just looks like somethings missing, like I could add 1 or 2 small things to improve it, but what?
any suggestions?, or does it look fine how it is and its all just my imagination
Looks nice, i really like it.
Maybe it's the fact thats its just not painted yet.
I often can't tell if i like a model or not till it's painted.
I AM BOOMER!
Looks really nice.. I'm not that familiar with IG, but shouldn't a Leman have more weapons on the model?.. No offense, I really like the idea of using converted tank models for 40k. It really gives a nice feel to the tank.. but yeah.. weapons?..
I think Dethklaat has hit the nail on the head. It looks like a cool tank, but I think what you are missing are weapons. All I can see is the battle cannon, no front HB, no side weapons, or weapong for the tank commander. Maybe add a couple of extra guns and you'll be good!...
maybe I'm just so used to the god awful designs of IG vehicles and doing something different looks weird in my head first time round

just a few more pics, with battle damage, also just noticed I need to drill the HB out
more guns was my first thought too.
i reckon bigger bore barrel on the BC. as it is it now i think it could pass fro a really long barreled regular bolter.
damn 5 pic limit
Really nice job on the battle damage.. Anny more, and I'd think you overdid it.. But yeah, nice pics..
- And if you really only need just a BC for your leman, then it looks nice in my book.. I might tend to join the "bigger BC" cloub, but you're right about the silly cartoonic look most tanks got in 40k.. And I'm really looking forward to see some paint on the model as well, just to complete the job. (:
