So i'm looking into getting a spray gun for my models but i am not sure which to go for. I was hoping you guys could give me a few recommendations as to what you think is best. I've been thinking on the GW one but that would mean stocking up on propellant and when it starts to get lo2w the gun would lose alot of its affectiveness really quickly, which would mean only have the propellent would really be worth using.
I have the GW spray gun as well as a double action airbrush... I have to say that I have really enjoyed the GW spray gun. I use it with a compressor so don't use the cans at all. What you need to do is get a 1/4" badger adapter for the compressor. It has a bleed valve built in so that you won't put too much pressure through it. Works very nice and it is very easy to clean.
It is good for base coats and perhaps some minor shading via the glazes they have now or for painting large surfaces. You probably won't get too detailed with the GW one but if that is what you are looking to do you really can't go wrong. The pistol grip is actually very comfortable.
