Okay, so I'm getting the 3 for $90 set of Carnifex soon and I don't want to buy any metal figure for my already awesome Swarm of plastic nids. But since I'm lacking in the Hive Tyrant area I want to know if putting a converted Carnifex, on a large flying base, using two additional armor plates over the set of "wings" (clear plastic insectoid based) shaving off the exhaust pipes to make room for the wings, and modifying his hooves so they look somewhat like a preying beetle bug would be okay. I'll post pics up when I can but would this be legal? Seeing is how Tyranids are already easy to manipulate. I want to know if this rad idea is doable as well as playable. If any suggestions to help me convert this beast into my "Lady-Killer Bug" Tyrant. please let me know. And if there is some issues with the rules, let me know too! Very important. Thanks! Cheers!

From the playing point of view, I reckon if you tell people first, you can justify what it is and half way through the gam people wont get confused as to which ones are your carnefixes and which your tyrants then it should be fine. As all GW parts it should be tournie legal too (shouldn't it?).
Modeling.... thats up to your skills, I'm looking forward to seeing it, the idea and the image is a good one.
