Greetings Denizens of LO-
I was recently informed that my favorite GW paint, Tentacle Pink, had been discontinued. As some of you might know, I had made some progress painting my lovely pink 'crons, so I'm wondering if there is a paint combination that I could use to mimic the hue.
Thanks everybody, if this works, I might actually finish them in a few years
I'm sure you could mix red with white with some trial and error you may be able to get the color you are after, but i have never had a chance to try out the pink. I do know that vallejo game colors has one called squid pink that may be a close match to the original tentacle pink. Maybe others will drop in with other alternative's.

I used a 1:1 ratio on my Oldblood once, and I achieved a sort of salmon-ish color.
Edit: yeah, the squid pink is what I wanted, but I would prefer to be able to mix my own, because I'm cheap, so use cheap acryllics
Try scab red with white. Scab red is colder (makes you feel of a low temp) than most reds and tentacle pink is a cool colour. However white will often not make things lighter but instead it will make things whiter. A very smallamount of bleached bone might help to balance this problem, maybe. You should add scab red to white in small amounts and see how close it gets to pink. It is very hard to make things light but easy to make them dark. Be careful in mixing paints that you don't make the white too dark to get your shade of pink.
have you tried looking at different ranges of paints, MP Vallejeo etc
Vallejo has a "squid pink" that is just about the same color, and covers better than the GWS one!
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
The point of this thread was kinda "how to mix colors and be cheap, so I don't have to buy any"
If there is no alternative, I'll turn to the Vallejo.
Did I hear you say Oldblood?
High five for Lizards....and the seventh of Febuary =D
