What color should I prime the dark angels special characters? I was thinking black, but I haven't started them yet.
Also, I bought a load of other marines online, and I want to make some of them ultramarines, some blood angels, and some dark angels. What primer undercoat should I use for them? Black was recommended to me by the guy in my store for everything, but I think only the dark angels should be black, and maybe the ultramarines. The Blood angels should be primed blood red, I think.
I also have marneus calgar, and all the blood angels special characters. What colors should they be primed?

I would prime the Ultramarines white, painting over black with anything other than metallics usually requires a few coats.

te DA should be black, the ultramarines can be black or white (i recomend white) and if you have a blood red primer you could prime rhe blood angels black then red, otherwise the red would be to light.

I undercoat everything white. You can see the details much better before you start painting, it's easier to paint over white than black no matter what colour you are using anyway.
I use black undercoat on everything. Helps to shade well, working from the darkest to the lightest colours.
For BA, I'd recommend black undercoat and then painting them Red Gore, highlight it Blood Red then. Should give a nice, dark red.
