Wow you suck
JAY/KAY BUDDY, thanks for the awesome paint on my farseer
Don't bother having anything more than meaningless small talk on this forum, the moderators won't allow it
I really like it! especially the blue effects on his staff.

Quick question, I'm new to minitures and I'm about to paint a farseer myself, would you mind outlining the steps you took? I'm especially interested in learning how to get the fine detail on the chest plate.
I'm very impressed btw, and also quite intimidated *>.>
Really like it, very good job.
How'd you get that lovely blue effect on the staff? Tried something similar for my company masters power sword, didn't come out very good at all!
Nice job. Can't really find a flaw anywhere. I can only imagine what the rest of this army would look like! Well done!
EDIT: If I had to REALLY nitpick, I'd say the black robes and the staff kinda blend in a little too much with the base. Still, that's reaching. I had to WORK to come up with a problem, which is a GOOD thing. Again, well done!
Looks good man! Love the combo with red, black and bone.
So thanks for all the comments now to get on answering some stuff.
for one this is a friends model(Rattrap on LO) i painted for him though he is letting me paint some of his other stuff so im stoked on that.
for the black i did triangle of german grey(a dark grey close to 50/50 codex grey mixed with chaos black) then a triangle of codex grey. this was imitating what i would do for regular layering but with less effort. after this i heavily washed it with badab black, this intantly shaded the cloth.
for the bone armor its bleached bone washed with gryphonne sepia then highlighted with bleached bone and extreme highlights were done with 50/50 bleached bone and skull white.
the orange cloth i did by basecoating brown then covering all that with blazing orange(the darker one i think thats its name) layerd up to a solid layer then started highlighting with 50/50 firey ornange blazing orange then a final with fiery orange. then i washed it with gryphonne sepia.
i started with ice blue highlighted on the edges on the three corners up to white then washed it with the blue wash, the wash is what gave it that cool pattern.
and at canew i rather liked the way the black robes ground him to the base, thou thats IMHO.
glad you guys like it i hope i answered the questions clearly i should have some other things soon from Rattraps army soon.
Hey thx for the pointers, i'll be sure to post up my attempt when its done.
