It's not really THAT Haknors, you dont have the molten lava on the armor plates.
And painting an army is like sex. No matter how much you believe that it's an original idea.
It's been done a million times before :-P
From what I can see from the lighting, they really don't look bad, just stick with em.
Or, if your dead set on chainging them, leave the trim what it is, and paint the armor mithril silver, then give it a gloss coating. The reds/oranges will look pretty cool reflecting off that.
But then they might look to iron warriors-ish for you
See, told you, its been done!
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
Hah, thanks. As far as I'm concerned the painting technique is good enough. I was just a bit annoyed when I saw the reavers black armour with the red fading to yellow detail - Fair, the detail is different. I'm considering sticking with it, but that's more to save me repainting my entire army than anything else.
I'm sure the significant other would have some "nonspecific disagreement" with your post though
