Does anyone know what has happend to the Mega Paint Set? Can't seem to find one anywhere.
I think they stopped selling it.
I was lead to believe that they were releasing a new one at some point in the near future. I was in GW Preston last week and they did have one in there so I'm not sure...
As I like to try and keep up on paint-related info, I can tell you that:
The 'current' product (the washes, foundations and regular paints plus varied extra kit, in the grey figure case) has gone out of production. The remaining sets will be sold through, which means that some GWs and other retailers may still have some on the shelves, but once they sell they will not be replaced.
Apparently there may be a new one out in the summer, along with a possible 'renovation' of the current paint range.
Not sure exactly what this would entail, just yet, though...

Ah! Are they coming out with a new one? I just got mine :/
My original paints lasted for almost 20 years before I got this one (Yes, I have taken an extensive break for some years). So this one will probably last for some years as well...
I hope the new one is really crap so I can happily keep my set. Just kidding

it's still on the US site, but I'd recommend getting the Vallejo Game Color set over the GW paint set, then just buy the GW washes. The Vallejo set comes with all the same colors, plus all of GW's discontinued colors.
If you just count normal paints and include metallics, the GW set comes with 47, the Vallejo set comes with 72.
