to me the unpainted sand looks pretty dull ontop of the painted one ,maybe paint it that color cuz you can see the brush marks on the colored one and none on the the lighter sand, maybe jus me

Very nice, Im not fond of the bards due to their price which distances them from the average player but thats a personal issue. Cant wait to see the whole thing together.
Agreed, price is steep, but you can find them on-line for close to $200, which is still steep but a nice break. What I particularly like about them is the flexibility in gaming surface size. We don't have room for a full table, so being able to configure a number of 4 x 4 sizes with squares durable enough for rough use makes it a good deal for me.
