My Tyranid list requires me converting my Hive Tyrant and a brood of warriors into winged CC Nastyness.
The guys in the local GW store reccomended plastic dragon wings for the tyrant... which, I believe, are the ones on the converted tyrant in the codex (pg 23). Although they would do the job, and aren`t a bad price, does anyone know of a better alternative?
As for the warriors........
I think they are going to be more tricky.... due to the size of the model everything I`ve come across in the store is to big or to small....
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.......
BTW.... Please don`t tell me about the forgeworld winged tyrant... I know its an awesome model but I can`t justify spending that kind of money
Perhaps I need to cut back the kids pocket money!!!!!
take a pair of warriors scy tal or whatever size of scy tal u find good and im saying what uzi says on almost EVERY SINGLE gargoyle post in the tyranids section on how to make them
take green stuff and spread it across so they look like wings
Hivefleet Omalancho 1/0/0 my current army
I suggest taking a peek through the mail order/bitz catalogue that just recently came out. It has just about every little odd and end you'd need to slap wings on an HT. I personally picture Nid wings being more like a dragonfly's or bee's wings instead of the leathery looking dragon wings. Feathered wings are right out.
i used high elf dragon wings on my hive tyrant and it turned out looking how i pictured a hive tyrant's wings and as for the warriors i used gargoyle wings and they look cool
i gave been pondering wat to give my tyrant for wings as well. i was talking to a gw employee and we came up with two great ideas.
a.) the balrog wings from LOTR
b.) the wings off the dragon action figure from the spawn series
<insert witty remark here>
