Hello folks, havent been around in a long while but for the last few months I have been beavering away with various projects. I have posted these around on a few other forums so some of you may have seen this lot already, new project starts this week though so I always have something on the go. Anyway, here are some of my scratch sculpts, done in super sculpey cos its good and its cheap.
JARHEADS - this project uses schwartz spice jars as a base for a nice bust which also serves as a useful holder for your tools and brushes. After reading fimo could be put on glass I did a decorative bottle with some Fimo, ohh about 12 years ago, then after I remembered this i thought the old mug I was using for my water needed to be made cooler. Jarheads were born. I also do water jars - I made myself a giant squid wrapping its tentacles around the jar. I dont have photos of that as yet though.
Wulfen - Rackhams Wulfen characters inspired this head
WIP - First roughing it in...
This was sculpted in between 8 - 12 hours, cant remember exactly. Its on ebay at the moment (last day today)
Warhammer Goblin Jarhead on eBay, also Fantasy, Warhammer, Wargames Role-Playing, Toys Games (end time 10-Mar-09 18:29:52 GMT)
Nurgle water jar
well this is my recent work, I have some more project ideas for the next few weeks. I will be doing busts of all the Talisman board game characters along with a giant and a ogre tyrant on a rhinox, as well as more jarheads of course.
You can vote or comment on them here in my coolminiornot gallery CoolMiniOrNot - dogfacedboy uk1's Gallery, Page 1
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I can't take it!!!!!! How can people be so good at sculpting?!?!? These are crazy pieces of work man, you really have to make some models and start selling them. I would buy anything you make if it became commercialized.
The Great Plague meets The Devourer of The Galaxy. What does that make us?
Glad you like them. I am a bit busy at the moment but i do try and fit commissions in when i can so you can get in touch if you ever need anything doing or have a good idea for a project. The ogre rhinox rider i am planning may well be cast up if all goes well. The wizard I am currently enquiring about casting. The original will be on sale at some point, depending on whether it can be cast and how long it will take them before i get the original back. And that goblin original is also available. Keep your eyes peeled as I want to produce some cast pieces.
Hi David, I dont remember posting on asrai.org - sure you dont mean The Lost Glade? Anyway, my inspiration for elves may be aroused if you have some good ideas!! For the jarheads I am doing at the moment I'm not sure a wood elf head would generate as much interest as say a zombie or something nasty. I was being asked to do a dwarf next, but I think the same thought applies to that. The wulfen seems more popular out of the four i have done. We'll see but I am keen to do an ogre on a rhinox at the moment!
Yes certainly on the stronghold! I have a few forums i post on.
what contry do you live in because i would certaintly be interested in some Chaos Khornate stuff ?
I am in the UK, if you have something in mind PM me but please bear in mind I have been asked to do some work for a new game that will be coming out this year - I m doing a test sculpt for them at the moment so this will take priority, but I am fitting in commissions where I can. I love chaos and I love Khorne so I'm interested. I post worldwide, and have sent stuff to germany and the US among other places all have arrived safely in perfect condition if you are concerned.

OK, here is my practice piece and latest sculpt to see what I can do in 54mm scale. Its meant to be a troglodyte elite warrior. The head will be kind of a cross between a gorilla/caveman/troll type look. At the moment I am playing with the back texture. The legs are baked now, so I cant easily change them, but the wrinkled texture doesn't look too bad. I want a slightly scaled/wrinkly leathered look. The scales around the groin area are in a similiar style to the Games Workshop troll texture but I attempted a texture from a home made texture stamp on the back which looks like toad skin. I might play around a bit more with the fur loin cloth. The base is a basic rock. Its not how I imagined it really and to be honest I'm not sure if I like it - let me know if you think it sucks it may convince me to start again on it. I will be sculpting the feet onto it so I have to get it looking good! Cheers folks.
