I don't know if I should have picked a carnifex as my first ever model, but here it is, from the back (the other pictures came out bad because of the light). Once I'm done painting the rest of my models, I'll upload a whole slew of images. Let me know if you think the dipping technique came out well (that's what I used).

How do I get the pic to load bigger?
pretty cool, i like the purple fringe on the armour. touch up the base with some static grass and gravel and youve got urself a great model!
I agree with m&m's, nicely done!

Very nicely done! for a beginner, that is top-notch, or at least looks like it from the photo. GJ.

You either show great promise as a painter, or you're a very skillful photographer... If you know what I mean... <_<

If that really is the first model you have painted then you have a great tallent that really is supurb for a first go you have some real talent.
The poster formaly known as VampireSoul, formaly known as OrkSlugga now known as Orkslugga.
Guys, he's no painter, he's a DIPPER. Know the difference? Anyhow, the dipping technique has been discussed here a while ago, must say that I feel convinced to test it out when I'll start a Necron army.
Ok so um.... what's dipping?
All I can think of is him sitting there with a bowl of ink dipping the model like a McNugget. Am I close? That kinda seems pointless since a brush would do the same job... only better.

PlanetSide, my only passion in life... after booze
Something like that... yeah. Not that I haven't painted before, (I'll post some pics of my hand painted stuff) I just think dipping creates a more organic look for tyranids than that brightly colored, sharp-lined nonsense most people use.
