I've just unpacked some of my old nids from a box and spent about 3 hours repairing and using mitre glue(very strong, stronger then plastic glue and as quick as superglue) to re-attatch those damn hormagaunts to the bases, most of them had snapped off in the years. But i digest(in the true style of peter griffin)
I need a colourscheme to go with my cityfight board. Basically some buildings red, some green and some white(i know, i don't know why i do it to myself either) and black ash bases. what colour nids do you think, I really am stuck for thought.

I think you have two possible paths here. You can go for a colour scheme that is camo for bugs in a ruined city. Red and green would be good as silentdeathz said. You can also try to do the alien invader look. You could pick a more alien and alarming colour scheme for them. The idea being they will stand out alot. They will look very much like alien invaders as they rampage through the city because they won't fit in and look like they belong there. Still do up their bases to look like the city terrain you have so they will seem to be there.
I've got a scheme. Thanks guys. I'll put up some pics tomorrow. It's renris grey skin with a drybrush of shadow grey and black carapace with red 'lines' on the edges. I hope you know what I mean by 'lines.
Sounds awesome, can't wait to see it.
That looks good for an urban colour scheme. They are very dark and menacing. You could try an ink wash on the tube/exposed muscle sheath part of them. It will help to bring out the details. The Ravener looks good. The addition of the devourer is interesting but you don't have to show the Raveners thorax weapons, only the scything talons and rending claws need to be shown. You can just choose what weapon they will get and because it's inside them you don't have to show it. This is an exception to the WYSIWYG rule. I saying this because you may want to either change the weapon in the future (deathspitters are better) or not have it use a ranged one at all.
Thanks leech. I think the more upright pose of the ravener is better and to cover up my messy greenstuff work i shoved in a devourer/
I AM BOOMER!
