Well, since I'm starting orks to keep my mind off of converting more marines and getting my 2k Night Lords army actually painted - and since I started them waaaay back in second edition (cardboard cutout dread, anyone?); I think I'll have to make the army very much themed.
And whats mroe themed than pirates?
So far, we have.... a squig hair transplant, and a tri-corner hat. Cookie for whoever guesses the inspiration. Next up, is a longcoat, a brace of pistols, some glyphs and the coup-de-grace; a squig-parrot.
Is it perchance a tribute to the great captain Jack Sparrow?
The conversion is looking nice so far, I'm looking forward to seeing more (and seeing more of the rest of the force, when they come about).
I can imagine him saying that quote... then tripping over something.
I was thinking that myself!
As an aside, (or rather to drag this back to the main(ish) bit of the topic) I love the convertin werk on im. The green looks really smooth. What are you using for the squig?
haha! I like it! Nice work on the hat and the bit of hair coming down is a nice touch. I cannot wait to see more work on him, the parrot-squig sounds good. =D
PEG leg anyone? this is really missing a peg leg to make this theme work... or a grot dressed up as a parrot! yes! that'll work too.
