For my Space Marines, I am looking to paint them a dark blue color. This would be darker than the scheme used for Ultramarines, yet I am guessing along the lines of the Nightlords paint scheme.
Can anyone help me out, by giving me some pointers/tips/ideas?
Thank you in advance.
don't know if this is what you're looking for, but heres a night lords tutorial its near the bottom
chaos marines have the chaos gods on their side, but space marines have games workshop on theirs
Thank you, for the reply.
I did see this gallery before, and it is close to what I was looking for.
It seems a bit bright, though, and any suggestions to tone it down would be great!
I am new to painting miniatures but I have been painting in general for a long time and I find a lot of the same rules apply. I needed a dark blue, so I took my ultramarine blue and added a bit of black. I was able to get the color I wanted, but if you try this be careful, you don't need much black at all. start by mixing in a little, then test the color and mix in more if needed.
hope that was helpful.
Quite helpful, thank you.
You been rep!
Bit of an old thread I know, but in case your still looking for that right color here's what I do with my night lords. I give them a base coat of black, and then dry brush the model with blue. It give the portions of the model that stick out a nice highlight while still giving the overall model a dark blue / weathered look.
is regal blue just not an option here?
