After recieving some Assault on Black Reach dreads I decided to make one into a Thousand Sons theme since I can't afford a ForgeWorld item with my college boy salary. Besides it's a lot more fun this way! Anywho here's the progress pics so far, she's almost done.
and here's some items that i still want to use
here's he banner that will go on top:
And the Dreadnought itself:
I'll get some closeup pics of the new sarcophagus and the other detailed areas soon.
Wow, that is excellent! Your sarcophagus idea is extremely creative. I love your use of bits, my only suggestion would be to elaborate the top of the dread, seems a little bleak compared to the rest of it. Maybe add some of the smaller chaos muzzle heads to the multi melta? Not sure if it would fit however. Keep up the good work!
Signature? What, do I sign my name here or something?
OMG that is awsome rep for you!!!!
Come and join the YoungBloods social group!
That's a nice conversion mate.

Kabal of the Twilight Blade - Host of Tecpatl - Salamanders 3rd
omg. that is soooo cool. great job with the whole thing. rep to you
I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine, and he shall be my Squishy.
Looking good boyo, you did 2 things i did to my dreads as well: TK stuff on the arms and a skull helmet + torso backside. Looking nice and mutated with just that hint of Egypt. Zema approves.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

The Dutch Legion
This is a great conversion. It shows that you can make something great with just a bit of thought and the right bitz. I really like the whole feel the dread has, kudos to you!
Excellent use of bits! Makes the AoBR model really look like its made for 1k sons.
Looking forward to seeing it painted.
