well i've been reading and looking at this forum and it has inspired me to start painting again... i bought myself one of those starter packs with some space marines and paint and a brush..
so i bought some extra paint and brushes and come up with this...
its been over 7 years since i last painted any mini so please dont me to harsh on me
tip comment or plain oppinions are always welcome
Very nice SM paintjob you got there, and I also like the color scheme.
nice work pal, especially after 7 years of not painting
thanks and yeah.. it is a bit frustrating hoping they turn out better then they did.. but i got an army to go so..
i dont think the colours fit an excisting chapter.. any1 know a fitting name
nice work. I got a couple of options for names.
Thunder of the Emperor
Thats all I could come up with at 8 in the mornin. Hope to see more of your work.
il like the idea with emperor.. not sure about thunder tho...
shadow guard sounds cool but the yellow looks a bit misplaced then.. thanks tho!
i hope to c more of my work to lol.. the box came with 3 mini's gotto wait till saturday for new cash to come in so i can buy some more
thunder of the empereor sounds good! shadow guard though.. sounds like something many people would name them wich means the all-common space marines would get an all-common name

got this idea: how bout something like silent thunder, but i have to say it doesnt sound like a chapter name... oh well....
Great looking marines, especially after 7 years! My only suggestion would be to tone down the mud on their feet a little bit but even that is well done. I like the color scheme and the style that you used - great work all around.
Is that a glow effect I see on the leading marine? If it is intentional, try making the light itself a bit lighter, as its the same tone as the reflection (mix in some white to make it pinkish). And very nice greys, keep at it!
As for names... Emperor's Shadow? (Since he is metaphorically radiant, the yellow would make some sense)

Marines - All built, 4/5 painted. Tau - 3/4 built, 0 painted. 'crons - 1/2 built, 1/2 painted.
I suck at staying on task.
