I just finished painted a few goblin spider riders from the warhammer box set that i purchased 2 years ago. I have a few more in process so I'm looking for some suggestions on how to improve my skills and the look of my models. Thanks for looking!
The camera is a little dark so it is making the pictures darker than in person.
and a pic of the base
Great work, especially the blending on the spiders' legs.
*whistles* nice legs!!!
Great job on these guys. The riders look good and bases are very well done. Good job!
lhscouchmonster, very well done. Great color selection and contrast. Very nice highlighting. The only constructive criticism I have is to do something more with the metal weapons. Terrific bases, too.
Thanks for sharing. Got more pics?
Thanks for the compliments guys. What can I do to better the metal? right now I heavily drybrush gunmetal onto the weapons. When I wash them with badab black it drowns out the metal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I agree with most of the comments so far- the legs are excellent. I like the bases too. With the metal, if you get a small amount of gunmetal on the brush, but not so that a bulb forms then run the side of the brush up the edges of the sword to give it a gleam. That should highlight it up nicely.

Ahh, some bugs, me like bugs. I think these models are well painted. I like the attention to detail you have on them. I think if you want to improve you could try to add an inkwash to the spiders themselves. The ink would help provide depth. Also try to apply a small highlight to the eyes so they look black but shiny. Reppy for you.
