I found this picture while browsing - (I hope that resizes, it's pretty big)
I was wondering if anyone had any Ideas how I could make a Farseer that looked something like that. Maybe in a more dynamic pose. I don't know how feasable it is, as I'd say I was at a moderate level of modelling skill, I'm not wonderful. The main thing I like about it is having the helmet off. I suppose I could take a normal farseer model and just replace the head (In which case is there any suggestions of which head to use? - I can probably lengthen the hair as long as I want with green stuff so don't worry too much about that)
For a helmetless look, I'd start at looking at some of the Warhammer Fantasy High Elf heads until you find something you like.
From there, you can do a hand swap in order to have the Farseer hold his/her helmet. There's a pretty good looking hand in the Guardian sprue here. Right arm of the Guardian in the top right corner. Hollow out the farseer helmet and have the Farseer hold it around the rim.
Are you interested in having the female Farseer as well as the helmetless look? If so, it becomes a little more complex as you'll have to do a pretty extensive conversion. I'd use the Banshee exarch's torso, since it looks relatively ornate and will only require a small amount of greenstuff in order to put together. You'll have to remove the head though, which will be the most painful process of this ordeal. Bust out the dremel if you have one. Afterwards it's smooth sailing. Use the legs from a warlock and join the two together. From there, it's just finding suitable arms.
Well for the armor for the 'Fun Bags' simply green stuff them onto the obvious area of the armor and sculpt extra detail onto them.
As for the head have a look through the Wood elves/high elves range and if you want the hair flowing (unless you find a suitable head) cut away the existing hear and re-sculpt some on so its flowing behind her.
Sometimes the best defense is a good offense... Wait, what?
