Hey guys, once again im looking for some ideas for converting standard GW chaos models to look more Egyptian and "Thousand Sons-y."
To start, im sure you have all seen those really cool converted Chaos Land Raiders with corpses and bits and extra goodies all over them, esp on the top of the Land Raider. And so i am looking for ideas on what to put on top of my TS Land Raider to make it feel very Egyptian, but not so spiky nor skull covered.
Here are some of my thoughts as is:
FW Thousand Sons Doors & Chaos Tracks
bowls of fire (Vampire Counts Braziers from Black Coach)
a few books here and there
maybe a few familiars carrying scrolls (ya know, the ones with the pointy hoods)
and perhaps the Tomb Kings Casket of Souls (or something that looks similar to)
So i was just wondering what people have to think about this, as well as if they have any other ideas for my project, and maybe when i get enough data collected, this might just have to become a WIP thread

"Dont Judge Me Monkey"
Well this may sound a bit confusing, its been stored up in my memory banks for a while, I cant remember where I seen it nor if it was in a magazine or website, but here it is-
A normal chaos land raider with a small pyramid on the top/back, about the height of the LRs side, on the front of the pyramid is a big rune encrested seat/throne, and seated on it is a massive daemon lord guy, and from the front corners of the pyramid to the front of the land raider are teorches with blue~purple fire on them.
theres my idea.

Use a real life cd and green stuff a massive eye in the centre and green stuff flames coming from the eye.
should like a portal.
Hi there THeANgelofDArkness,
This is just an idea, but what if you put part of the Tomb King chariot on the roof of the Land Raider like a Howdah or fighting platform? You could use the Tomb King banners too? Maybe have the backs of the horses painted chrome or brass riveted to the front of the land raider?
My all time fave Tzeentch Land Raider made those graceful helmet decorations land raider sized, you know, the lapis and gold fins, it was a very old Golden Demon winner I believe.
Well, I wish you great enjoyment assembling, modeling, and painting your project!
