A mate of mine finally fell in the conversion pool, and did a little something with his Tau commander..
He found inspiration on another site and tried to work out 2 specifications for his commander, and made it look like this.
The light went a little wrong on the last two photos, but you get the idea..
He didnt have any GS, so worked around this by covering with te shield gen. where the most obvious space was.. And yeah, mold lines need some work, but this will be added before painting. ^^

Not bad - I like his funky hat!
The sensor spines on the back are a nice touch as well.
I know you said he doesn't have any green stuff, but if possible he might want to look in to getting some (or an alternative modelling putty) as the gaps on the side of the jetpack are very difficult to cover with paint!

Very creative, I like it! One question, is the foot just glued to the barrel or is it pinned? Seems like it could be fragile without some reinforcement.
